Graduate Teaching Assistant - Teacher Training

Engage Education is currently supporting an expanding secondary school in Southwark who are looking to appoint a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants to start in September.

The school runs a prestigious Teacher Training Programme and you will initially work for the first year as a Teaching Assistant spending 70% of your timetable attached to your subject area. In year 2, you will commence your salaried Teacher Training Programme based on-site at the school which offers a postgraduate-level qualification leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), no tuition fees, and the opportunity to earn while you learn.

Degree requirements:

  • You must hold a 2:2 or above

To be considered for enrolment, applicants must have:

  • Undergraduate Honours degree

  • GCSE Level 4 (Grade C) in English, Maths (for Secondary trainees) plus Science (for Primary Trainees)

  • Must have a desire and passion for becoming a teacher and working in secondary education on a long-term basis.

  • The right to work in UK
