Working as a teaching assistant is a great way to gain in school based experience that will stand you in good stead for when you begin teacher training. Each year this excellent secondary school looks to take on a small number of graduates who are eager to develop their experience in a school setting ahead of commencing teacher training.

As a teaching assistant you will be working under the guidance of an experienced SENDCo and will work closely with students on a one to one and small group work. You will be working with students from years 7 - 11 in a wide range of subject areas giving you the opportunity to gain a real insight into secondary school teaching.
