Grants Officer (Disabled Facility Grants)

Duration: 3- 6 months subject to further extensions

Rate: Negotiable Rate Inside IR35

Hours: 37 hours per week

Hybrid Working Arrangement

They are looking for the successful candidate to contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants and any other financial assistance offered by the Council.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide advice and support to older or disabled people and other vulnerable individuals who wish to repair, adapt or improve their homes
  • Provide an appropriate service for the benefit of customers and colleagues from the referral stage through to completion of works
  • To visit clients in their own homes, providing the required level of advice and information, maintaining regular contact with them at each stage of the case
  • Ensure that the client understands and is kept informed of all procedures and practices involved with their particular circumstances
  • Process invoices for payment and raise fee requests, raise invoices for the service, maintain and update software systems for monitoring disabled facilities grants
  • Ensure all stages of work are monitored, including supervision of work on site and satisfactory completion

Requirements:

  • Previous Grant experience preferable within disabled facilities
  • Local Government experience would be an advantage
