We are recruiting a temporary Grants Officer for a fantastic organisation based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience within grants.

Up to 3 months, some hybrid working.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the team in the managing of awards and processing of grant applications.
  • Support the management of enquiries from applicants and award holders.
  • Support the monitoring of progress of individual grants and managing of individual case work, in particular helping to administer change requests.
  • Support the closure of grants, including scheduling final reports and conducting reconciliation.
  • Support the recruitment of panel members, including onboarding, inducting and retiring members.
  • Support the assessment process, including assisting Grant Managers in assigning and following up with panel assessors, as required.
  • Support the preparation of award offers and set-up of awards.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and data collection/retention.
  • Work collaboratively with others to support continuous ongoing improvement and implementation of good practice, including contributing to review of documentation, procedures and processes and scheme development/evaluation to ensure provision is relevant for the science community and is delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Role model desired behaviours in line with the RS Grants Team Charter.
  • Share experience and ideas with others in the Grants Section and the Society and contribute broadly to the Royal Society's mission and priorities.
