Edinburgh 3 days a week/hybrid model
Up to £100,000 DOE (with additional benefits, 2 annual bonus, private healthcare etc.)
Leading US IPP, growing their UK project portfolio through renewable assets.

A leading IPP in the US, is looking for a crucial addition for their Edinburgh office. You'll have a diverse role, working across several areas of renewables and through several stages of the development process.

The group has over 2 decades worth of market presence, growing the team to support on over 200 projects globally. They now have over 2,000 employees throughout the US, Asia and the UK. Their Scottish HQ is a growing team, aiming to have each project lifecycle stage in house to maintain quality over projects.

Due to their structure, you truly get the be part of both a small close-knit culture as well as a larger corporate function. The Edinburgh office has a strong culture, valuing entrepreneurial spirit, energy and problem solvers. It's essential the team has a balance of team players, but autonomy to work in cohesion.

The group works across solar, BESS and onshore wind projects through their own development as well as corporate acquisitions. The majority of the pipeline is at transmission level, with some distribution level connections. They are progressing through to a pipeline of 2GW, with each project averaging at 200MW. You'll be at the heart of these projects gaining grid connection agreements for these projects and managing these processes to ensure they meet time agreements and are completed to a high standard.

The role:
This is a crucial position for the group but also for the projects. The core of the role can be summarised as someone that is capable of leading the UK strategy for greenfield pipelines and to monitor and engage on grid reforms.

The main responsibilities will include:
- Managing queuing systems for grid connections, monitoring new reforms and paths.
- Overseeing the grid connection process from early stage feasibility studies throughout the development and construction processes.
- Working closely with costings and financial impacts of grid applications. Financial models for solar and BESS projects, involved with CfD processes.
- Interacting regularly with DNO and TSO.
You'll have support and regularly interactions with the wider development and land teams. You'll also work closely with teams out in the US for projects.
