Grounds Maintenance Officer
  • Hourly Rate: £11.44 PAYE, £13.94 Umbrella

My client are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in grounds maintenance and the ability to operate various types of groundskeeping machinery. Official qualifications or tickets for operating machinery such as pedestrian mowers, strimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters are highly desirable.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform general grounds maintenance tasks to ensure clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including pedestrian mowers, strimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters, to carry out maintenance and landscaping duties.
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Remove litter, leaves, and debris from grounds to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Assist with planting, weeding, mulching, and general care of flower beds and green spaces.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines while performing all tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using strimmers, blowers, and mowers.
  • Knowledge of general landscaping and groundskeeping practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks.
  • A driving licence is not essential but would be advantageous.
