Grounds Maintenance Operative

Currently recruiting for grounds maintenance operatives to work in a team in Gateshead, they are responsible for all aspects of grounds maintenance, ensuring that all work is delivered to a high standard and all current health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Duties of the GMO:

  • General repair and maintenance works across all sites
  • Ensure all planned maintenance is completed on time and within schedules
  • Carry out reasonable emergency tasks as they occur
  • Member of call out team with other team members
  • Undertake any other types of maintenance works as required by sites
  • Liaise with external contractors as and when required
  • Ensure plant is kept in good order and free from defects
  • Carry out external site maintenance including litter picking, weed clearance, gritting, cleaning ensuring sites are kept in a presentable state at all times

Essential criteria for the GMO:

  • Drivers licence
  • previous experience working as a grounds maintenance operative
