A leading insurance firm in Bradford is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join their dynamic team. This role offers an attractive salary, flexible working arrangements, and the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of claims.
About the Role: We're looking for a seasoned professional to handle a range of commercial claims, with a particular focus on Motor/Fleet, Property, and Liability. The ideal candidate will combine expert knowledge with exceptional customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage claims from initial notification through to settlement
• Provide professional advice and maintain high service standards
• Negotiate effectively to achieve optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and a robust diary system
• Liaise with clients, insurers, and other relevant parties
• Authorize claim payments under delegated authority
• Contribute to management information on claims issues
• Engage in ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in handling diverse insurance claims
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Excel
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Experience:

• Background in a brokerage environment
• Familiarity with scheme claims and binder procedures
• Experience with PI, D&O, and Cyber claims
• Knowledge of Acturis system
