Group Accounts Manager | Manchester | £55 - 60K

The position plays a key role in financial reporting, overseeing consolidated IFRS financial statements, quarterly management accounts, and shareholder reporting. Responsibilities include managing financial reporting processes, coordinating with segment financial teams, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review consolidated IFRS financial statements and management accounts.
• Draft technical accounting papers and liaise with auditors.
• Manage reporting processes for financial accounting teams.
• Oversee financial liability calculations and external valuation expert engagements.
• Implement and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work with the tax team on corporation tax and VAT reporting.
• Lead external audit processes and financial close activities.
• Drive process improvements, including technology adoption.
• Manage and develop the Group Finance team.

Person Specification:

• Qualified accountant with 4+ years of post-qualification experience
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience in group financial reporting.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to enhance internal controls and implement process improvements.
• Experience with Yardi (preferred but not essential).
