Group Financial Reporting Manager - Charity Experience Required - Central London / Hybrid Working - up to £65k

We’re looking for a qualified Financial Accountant / Financial Reporting Manager, with demonstrable experience working in the charity sector / charitable arm of an organisation to join a successful organisation in Central London as their Group Financial Reporting Manager.

The Group Financial Reporting Manager will assist the Associate Director of Finance in developing strategy for the finance function. You will also lead the process for the production and approval of all consolidated reporting and statutory accounts, manage the treasury function and oversee all investment fund management and balance sheet reconciliation and develop and maintain the financial policies, controls, systems and processes.

Therefore, we’re looking for a UK qualified accountant with extensive experience in a similar role and of producing and/or auditing group financial statements within a charity of not-for-profit organisation.

Our client is offering a competitive salary of £60k-£65k, flexible benefits package and hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office per week.


Key responsibilities as the Group Financial Reporting Manager will include:

  • Leading the process for the production and approval of all consolidated internal and external reporting and statutory accounts
  • Leading in all aspects of the auditing process
  • Producing monthly consolidated reports
  • Leading the VAT and Corporation tax accounting and reporting processes
  • Assisting with developing the strategy for the finance function
  • Overseeing the accounting and administration for all fixed assets, investments, bank accounts and restricted funds
  • Developing and maintaining financial policies, controls, systems and processes
  • Ensuring efficient and effective management of the group’s finances and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Leading, motivating and developing the team

What we’re looking for:

  • CCAB, ACA, FCCA or ACCA qualified (UK qualifications required)
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role with deep knowledge and understanding of managing charity accounts
  • Experienced in managing statutory accounts of c£20m turnover
  • Experienced in managing financial systems
  • Experience of producing financial statements including consolidated accounts
  • Experience of managing interim and year-end audits
  • Excellent MS skills including advanced Excel
  • Experienced in using Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Confident and effective communication skills with a diplomatic nature and the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Proactive problem-solver with commercial acumen
  • Line management experience / capabilities
