We are looking for a Group Financial Reporting Manager to lead the production and approval of all consolidated internal and external reporting and statutory accounts. This role is central to managing the treasury function, overseeing investment fund management, balance sheet reconciliation, and developing financial policies and controls. The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified accountant with experience in group financial statements and a strong background in not-for-profit organisations.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Lead the process for the production and approval of all consolidated internal and external reporting and statutory accounts.
  • Manage VAT and Corporation tax accounting and reporting, including liaising with external tax advisors.
  • Oversee the treasury function, investment fund management, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, systems, and processes to ensure efficient and effective management of the group’s finances and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce monthly consolidated reports pack for board and committees, including P&L and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure month-end reconciliations are completed for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee the accounting and administration for all fixed assets, investments, bank accounts, and restricted funds.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of the group VAT returns and coordinate all external reporting requests from regulatory bodies.
  • Lead on the development, maintenance, and implementation of all finance systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Fully qualified accountant – ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • Experience of producing or auditing group financial statements.
  • Experience with reporting and consolidation responsibility for a group.
  • Staff management experience, preferably in a multi-site and/or hybrid working environment.
  • Experience at, or as auditor of, a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data simply.
  • A problem-solver with commercial acumen and intellectual curiosity.
