Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Handyperson / Escort to help with a backlog of maintenance work at HMP Coldingley. As a Handyperson / Escort, you will be required to split your time between carrying out Handyperson duties around the prison, including routine maintenance and planned works, and escorting other contractors and visitors around the prison when they are on site. As part of your escorting duties, you will also occasionally be responsible for checking contractors upon arrival, counting in their tools, escorting vehicles and carrying out searches.
You will be required for a minimum of 12 weeks, however it is likely the contract will extend into next year.

What you will need
You will need to have previous maintenance / multi-trade / handyperson experience across a multitude of trades, and must be willing to split your time between maintenance and escorting contractors.
You will need a clean criminal record, as all applicants will have to pass full prison vetting before starting, which on average takes around 6-8 weeks to complete.

What you'll get in return
Monday-Friday 39 hours per week with an early finish on a Friday
Weekly pay
£16.5 per hour umbrella / £14.49 PAYE
