Are you ready to take the wheel and drive excellence in the automotive education industry? We’re looking for a dynamic and passionate leader to lead the development and delivery of our top-tier classroom-based, Apprenticeship, and full-cost programmes in the high-demand areas of:

  • Motor Vehicle Servicing and Repair
  • Automotive Maintenance
  • Motor Vehicle Body and Paint
  • Vehicle Technician Accredited Assessment (VTAA)
  • Electric Vehicles
  • MOT Testing

As the Head of Automotive courses, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of the industry by maintaining and building outstanding stakeholder relationships, ensuring the best possible learner experience, and promoting positive progression for all our learners. You'll play a pivotal role in helping local businesses meet their workforce needs while fostering a thriving and innovative educational environment.

About the Role:

  • Leading the development and delivery of industry-leading courses in the automotive sector.
  • Managing a dedicated team to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Enhancing relationships with key stakeholders to drive success for both learners and local employers.
  • Taking charge of staff and resources to meet college targets and maintain high standards across all courses.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English andMathematicsGCSE4+orCandabove/ CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.
  • Degreeorequivalent
  • Teaching qualification-minimum of Level 5 (e.g. Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent).

Essential Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of current practicesandinnovationsintheSectorandin Further Education.
  • Evidence of the effective management of a team of staff, demonstrating improvements inqualityandsuccessindicatorstoachieve excellence.
  • Evidence of leading and supporting staff in the development of strong teaching, learning and assessment embracing innovative practice and leading to demonstrable positive impact for learners.
  • Evidence of effective and efficient management and deployment of staff and non-staff resources in the support of a high- quality student experience.
  • Experience of proactive curriculum development, promotion and marketing which ensures continuous improvement of the curriculum.
