Head of Dementia Care

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join this CQC rated Outstanding care home as the Head of Dementia Care. You’ll play a vital role in the dementia care unit, ensuring that your team upholds outstanding standards making sure every resident feels happy, healthy and supported.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, of 40 hours per week, covering maternity leave, with the possibility of an alternative permanent position and career progression, allowing further growth and unlocking of your full potential as this company expands with new build facilities locally.

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the dementia care suite.
  • Support the care planning process, actively involving service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all residents, whilst encouraging a homely and calm atmosphere.
  • Prepare all direct care staff rotas for the suite, ensuring service needs are always met.
  • Work effectively with the General Manager to ensure all KPI’s are achieved across the units.
  • Ensure that the team maintain a good working relationship.
  • Stay updated on emergency procedures, equipment, and legislation.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Abiding by CQC regulations, which includes reporting any breeches or areas of concern.
  • Maintaining staffing budgets and ensuring audit schedules are adhered to.
