Job Title: Head of Commercial

Location: Swindon (Hybrid - 4 days in office)

Salary: £60-85k plus bonus

Overview: Our client is seeking a strategic and visionary Head of Commercial to lead their commercial team and drive revenue growth and profitability. This role involves developing and executing commercial strategies, managing key partnerships, and optimizing business performance to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial team in creating and implementing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand market share and increase revenue streams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, suppliers, and vendors for mutually beneficial collaborations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform pricing strategies and product development.
  • Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, product or distribution trends, financial metrics, and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the 'Trading' P&L budget, ensuring the commercial team is agile and responsive to risks or opportunities to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and synergy in commercial activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial or business development role.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills with a track record of driving commercial success.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience managing a high-performing team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
