Full Time

£75,000 - £85,000 DOE + Bonus

Our client is an established legal costs firm with leading industry experts offering support across the UK to a wide variety of high street and legal 500 firms. We are looking for a Head of Legal Costs to report directly to the managing director and help develop the long-term success of the business.

Day to day duties:
  • The preparation of bills for detailed assessment by the Court/Arbitration Tribunal and schedules of costs for negotiation.
  • Preparation of accurate schedules for summary assessment
  • Preparation of detailed costs estimates for budgeting, security and specific issues
  • Attending assessment hearings, support/ challenge cost claims
  • The work involved would be a combination of fee earning in complex cases and working directly with the Managing Director on developing the long- term success of the business.


What we need from you:
  • At least 8 years Claimant costs experience, including supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Networking and business development skills, with a proven track record of attracting new business and developing/nurturing client relationships (this attribute is essential)
  • Very strong IT skills, including an in-depth knowledge of Costsmaster
  • A strong billing track record
