HEAD OF DATA PLATFORMS
CENTRAL LONDON - 3 DAYS PER WEEK

We are partnered with a leading insurance company that operates at the global scale. They are currently looking for someone to lead their Data Platforms team to ensure all data sources are integrated into one central source of truth.

THE COMPANY:

This company has grown significantly over the past few years as they have branched out into new areas of insurance having gained good traction in the home and motor insurance space, specifically. They operate at the global scale therefore have complex data sources and systems that they need to integrate into their centralised platform.

THE ROLE:

As a Head of Data Platforms, you will report into the CDO to ensure that the data strategy is aligned with the needs of the senior stakeholders across the business at a global scale. They have invested in Azure and Databricks to ensure all data is stored in one place but are yet to integrate the 100s of systems that they have in different locations. They would like someone who can explain the benefits from a data and cost perspective of their data mesh architecture and oversee the strategy to help integrate data sources into the Azure environment.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal Head of Data Platforms will have:

  • Led teams of 20+ at the global scale
  • Strong experience building out a centralised Azure platform
  • Be able to manage stakeholders at the senior level to ensure they understand the benefits of cloud storage/optimisation
  • Devise a data strategy in line with the company vision to bring all data into one place
