Job Description:

Quantum Scholars are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for a secondary school in Basingstoke. As the Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Humanities curriculum and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. This role will commence in January 2025 and it is on a full-time, permanent basis.

• Provide strong leadership and management of the Humanities Department, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and review of the Humanities curriculum, ensuring it meets current educational standards and industry requirements.
• Deliver high-quality teaching in Humanities, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
• Mentor and support the professional development of departmental staff, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying training needs.

• Right to work in the UK.
• Must be a qualified teacher.
• Significant teaching experience to High School Level(Grades 7 - 12) in Humanities, with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
• Previous leadership or management experience is also essential.
• In-depth knowledge of the UK Humanities National Curriculum.
