Head of Distribution – Manufacturing/FMCG

Leicester – 2/3 days in office, the rest WFH

£70-75k + 15% bonus

I’m supporting a manufacturing client in the Leicestershire area to recruit a Head of Distribution. You’d be joining a business with rich history and an excellent brand reputation within their industry.

You’ll be responsible for a circa £50m budget – focusing on contract management and continuous improvement. Day to day this includes:

• Developing logistics solutions across the group
• Contract management of logistics providers and lead performance reviews
• Driving automation into processes and project lead major changes
• Supporting development and presentation of budget and strategic plan to SLT
• Lead identification of all CAPEX requirements and ensuring compliance
• Liaising with hauliers to improve their processes and ensure optimised solutions

You’ll need to have:

• Extensive experience in supply chain/operations/logistics
• 3PL and haulage contract management
• Experience in tendering processes
• History of developing strategy and delivering change/improvement projects
