THE ROLE

They are now looking for an experienced Head of Events to take a pivotal role in driving the association revenue growth and profitability through the strategic planning, execution, and management of their world class events! You will be responsible for:

•                Developing and delivering a comprehensive commercial strategy for the events team, that aligns with company goals and objectives

•                Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through networking, proactive prospecting and building strong relationships

•                Working closely with Marketing and Commercial / Sales teams to design and deliver innovative event concepts

•                Contract negotiation with suppliers and vendors

•                Overseeing all elements of event planning and delivery from concept development to post event analysis

•                Staying abreast of industry trends, market developments and competitor activities

•                Ensuring effective communication and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment

•                Identifying opportunities for innovation and growth

•                Financial analysis and reporting


THE CANDIDATE


Candidate must come from an operational delivery background having managed and delivered large scale events previously. A strong commercial focus is essential, and candidates must have a proven track record of developing and managing budgets and driving profitability. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills are key, and candidates must have the ability to develop innovative event concepts that resonate with target audiences. Experience of working within a membership organisation would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate leadership and team management skills and have the ability to influence and motivate a team.
