Head of Finance - FMCG 

Location: Leeds

Salary: £75,000 - £85000 + Excellent Bonus & Benefits

Elevation Senior Finance is currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance on behalf of a rapidly growing and exciting FMCG organisation in Leeds.

My client is keen to find a confident and personable qualified accountant with a passion for being involved in the wider business, driving the company forward and improving the processes and systems within. You will be involved in the commercial and operational decision making which will shape the path the business takes over the next few years.

If you are innovative and enjoy driving change and leading and developing staff then this is an all-encompassing position whereby you can really add value and make an impact, supporting the strategic direction of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Finance business partnering to the senior management team to ensure they maximize financial performance and deliver budget commitments
• You will build the 5 Year and 1 Year financial plans (budget), providing clarity on all assumptions and ensuring full engagement within the leadership team so that commitments are owned
• Attend regular performance reviews with the leadership team to review and challenge the P&L and KPI performance
• Through monthly forecasts you will assess and quantify any P&L risks or opportunities and ensure that action plans are developed with the leadership team to optimize performance
• Facilitate a programme for identifying, evaluating and tracking cost saving initiatives
• You will provide financial leadership on change activities to ensure they are financially viable
• Drive insight and more accurate plans, forecasts and product costings
• Advance the use of data and other technology to improve the ways of working across the team

 Skills and experiences:

• CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified
• Recent relevant experience in FMCG or Retail ideally
• Ability to lead, influence and coach direct reports
• Stakeholder management and influencing
• Commercial and operational decision support
• Strong IT skills including advanced Excel
