We are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner for the appointment of a new Head of Finance, on an initial 9-month fixed term contract with the view to go permanent, to join Adnams.

Adnams are a brewer, distiller and wine merchant. A publican, hotelier and retailer. They run one of the most innovative breweries in the UK, guided by a focus on quality, sustainability and hospitality that has stood the test of time. And they’re still proudly independent - which means that they are free to focus on what matters most to their consumers and customers. They offer hybrid working, with their head office in Reydon, Southwold.

Reporting into the CFO, you will be providing financial oversight, control, advice, and leadership for the organisation through a period of transition.

Responsibilities include:
  • Been able to manage a complex multi-income stream business
  • Responsible for day-to-day business support
  • Handling annual financial statements
  • Develop and nurture a business partnering relationship between the finance team and wider business
  • Managing the relationship with Auditors and the year-end process
  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Supporting with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Ad hoc project work as and when required
 Key skills:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant post qualified experience
  • Strong technical skills and experience
  • Ability to work in a commercial and business partnering capacity
  • Excellent communicator
