A well-established Construction company with an annual turnover approx £10m is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. You will report directly to the MD and have full ownership of the financial operations for the main business as well as its subsidiaries. This role will involve reporting and managing financial planning, analysis as well as payroll.

You will need to be self-motivated, ambitious with an excellent understanding of financial planning and proficiency in financial management software.

Key Duties:

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to HMRC and Companies House
  • Prepare financial reports and monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Manage financial analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support financial matters to the department when needed
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and tax laws
  • Work with external accountants for year-end reporting
  • Safeguard company assets

Key Skills:

  • ACCA-qualified or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of similar experience
  • Excellent team management skills and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and ambitious
  • Excellent communication skills
