Page Executive are currently working with a leading property development client to recruit a new Head of Financial Reporting to report directly to the Group Financial Controller and play an integral part of the senior finance leadership team.

Description

  • As the Head of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements as well as managing group financial controls.
  • Your role will be critical to maintaining accurate financial records and providing key insights to support the Executive Leadership Team and strategic decision-making.
  • You'll be attending Audit Committee meetings and Senior Leadership meetings monthly, so this role will provide a platform for great exposure within the business
  • You'll be leading a team to manage the financial reporting process including monthly consolidation and related reporting, financial statements preparation, tax, VAT, payroll, and insurance
  • Youll provide leadership and direction to both the financial reporting team and the wider finance team to support continuous improvement of the finance function as well as the learning, development and coaching of the team
  • You'll support the Board and Senior Leadership team to deliver the Group's vision and objective

Profile

  • To be successful in this role you must possess a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership skills and strategic thinking to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
  • You must have an in-depth understanding of IFRS and experience of IFRS 16 'Leases', IFRS 9 'Financial Instruments' and IFRS 2 'Share based Payments' helpful
  • You must have good knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws and statutory reporting requirements
  • Finally, you must have worked in a Group role, consolidating entities at a Group level
  • Ideally you will come from a property or real estate background, or have worked in businesses which have large balance sheets
