Reporting to the CFO, as Head FP&A you will take responsibility for the FP&A function for this PE backed SME retail business including:

  • Build and shape the role of FP&A function, working closely with senior leadership and different function heads to lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of financial models and assumptions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial plans.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks to develop actionable strategic recommendations
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models for scenario analysis, investment evaluation, and business planning.
  • Deliver the financial analysis and reporting, providing transparency and business insights for management decision making
  • Analyse key performance indicator to measure business and operation performance.
  • Prepare and present financial findings to executive leadership and the executive committee.
  • Prepare management accounts and reporting on a monthly basis
  • Support on M&A activity with the CFO as required

You will likely be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with experience working within the retail industry and have strong FP&A experience and excellent stakeholder management skills.

You will be someone who is comfortable being ’hands on’ yet operating and thinking strategically and be someone happy to drive and shape the FP&A function.

This role offers hybrid working.
