Merrifield Consultants are delighted to be partnering with Your Place to find a Head of Fundraising & Communications, someone to join their dedicated team and help them achieve their mission to solve homelessness in east London, one person at a time!

Role: Head of Fundraising and Communications

Reports to: CEO

Location: Hybrid (2 days), Canning Town, East London Office

Terms: Full time, permanent

Salary: £49,920 - £60,320

The Head of Fundraising & Communications will lead the charity's strategy on income generation from corporates, individuals, trusts and foundations, and will focus on developing sustainable long-term income streams.

You will oversee Your Place's fundraising & communication strategy in order to increase overall awareness of their brand, mission and the difference they make in the homelessness sector by building a strong stakeholder engagement strategy across all audiences.

This role is vital to the charity's continued growth and delivery of strategic goals particularly through diversification of Income streams, brand and engagement across all audiences.

Skills and Experience needed:

  • Experience developing, implementing and successfully delivering a multi-stream fundraising strategy, with targets of £1m+
  • Brand management experience
  • Experience producing fundraising strategies in the charity sector
  • Experience producing communications and/or marketing strategies (desirable)
  • Ability to focus communications strategies on achieving fundraising targets
  • Strategic understanding of supporter management and journeys
  • Experience of managing and developing high-performing teams
