Are you an experienced, professional, and ambitious senior HR manager? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your proactive and results-driven mindset? Our client, a leading organisation in their industry, is seeking a Head of HR to join their team in Kennington, London.

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of recruitment and HR at our client's organisation. Your role will involve strategic oversight of processes for recruiting, inducting, and onboarding new employees, as well as managing performance, employee relations, health and wellbeing, and professional development. You will also provide a business-focused and HR advisory service to our client's directors.

Start ASAP, this is a permanent role, salary up to £75k, hours Monday-Friday full time, this position is working fully on site. Due to the nature of the client, you are required to go through a DBS clearance ahead of starting.

What you will be doing:

  • Providing expert HR advice and support in line with legislation, regulation, and best practise.
  • Delivering effective and efficient HR processes, policies, and systems.
  • Conducting regular reviews of staff handbooks, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and templates to ensure they are current and fit-for-purpose.
  • Taking a proactive approach to implementing efficient systems and processes.
  • Assisting with budget control and the annual employee budget process.
  • Overseeing recruitment and selection, including agency relationships and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Advising on recruitment strategies and managing advertising to attract top talent.
  • Managing employee relations matters, including disciplinary issues, grievances, and sickness cases.
  • Supporting and advising on employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
  • Carrying out other duties as required by the directors and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of your work.

What you bring:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, employee relations, and HR best practises.
  • Strong ability to work constructively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Confidence and ability to provide support and advice at a senior level and influence others.
  • Good understanding of equality issues and the need for confidentiality and discretion.
