Head of Manufacturing

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting the role Head of Manufacturing to join a leading manufacturing facility in West Yorkshire. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact in a medium volume, high-quality production environment. Our client is a reputable business known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, with a workforce of 150 employees and an annual turnover of approximately £30m.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a dynamic Head of Manufacturing to take full ownership of the manufacturing operations. This pivotal role will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee a dedicated team of 6 direct reports, along with over 100 indirect staff members.

This Head of Manufacturing key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Oversee and manage a range of manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production and operational efficiency.
• Directly participate in projects and strategic initiatives, serving as the main point of contact for customers regarding technical queries, especially for new developments.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and introduce new technologies.
• Utilise data-driven insights to drive continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency to propel the business forward.
• Ensure the successful implementation of new ideas and processes that align with the company's growth objectives.

• A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
• Extensive experience in advanced manufacturing, with a strong preference for precision engineering and machining.
• Exceptional people management skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
• A ‘hands-on’ approach to production management, with a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with senior production staff and leverage their expertise.
