Are you a strategic marketing leader with a passion for driving growth within the grocery retail sector?

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Marketing to lead our clients digital and trade communications function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the marketing strategy for a leading organisation and make a significant impact on its growth and success.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance brand reputation, increase customer engagement, and drive revenue growth. You will lead a high-performing marketing team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a digital-first marketing strategy aligned with business objectives. Identify market trends and opportunities to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives support business goals.
•    Team Management: Build, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing team of 5 individuals. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
•    Digital Marketing Excellence: Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (SEO, PPC, social media, email, content marketing). Optimise website performance and user experience. Leverage data analytics to measure campaign performance and drive continuous improvement.
•    Trade Marketing and Promotions: Develop and execute effective trade marketing programs to drive sales and distribution. Manage promotional activities, including budgeting, planning, and execution. Measure the impact of trade marketing initiatives on sales and market share.
•    Brand Management: Protect and enhance the brand identity. Develop and implement brand guidelines and messaging. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
•    Budget Management and ROI: Develop and manage the marketing budget to optimize ROI. Track and analyse marketing performance metrics. Provide regular reports on marketing performance and ROI to senior management.
•    Customer Insights: Drive customer-centric marketing initiatives by gathering and analysing customer data and insights. Develop customer personas and segmentation to tailor marketing messages and campaigns.

Skills and Experience
•    Excellent understanding of the convenience retail market
•    Proven track record in digital marketing 
•    Strong leadership and team management skills
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
•    Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
•    Understanding of digital communications and CRM systems 
•    Ability to manage complex communications channels  
•    Experience of managing marketing agency relationships
