Head of Property

Goodman Masson are working with a local authority in the South East to secure the services of a Head of Property to lead and manage an extensive and diverse property portfolio, including public buildings, community spaces, and commercial assets.

Rate: £600-£800 per day (negotiable)

Duration: 6 months initially

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the following areas: Housing, Compliance, Repairs, Strategic Assets and Building Safety
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive property strategy aligned with the council's goals
  • Overseeing property acquisition, disposal, and management activities
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements
  • Leading a dedicated team of property professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with internal departments and external partners to optimize property use and drive regeneration projects

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within a Local Authority or Housing Association
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
