A popular school located in Barnet, North West London is interested in securing a passionate teacher of Head of Psychology to join their school in September 2024. You will be joining the Science faculty as Psychology is attached within that faculty so you will be joining an incredible team of teachers and support staff.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND HEAD OF PSYCHOLOGY CONTRACT:
A medium-sized secondary school
An Ofsted rated 'good' school
Knowledge of AQA would be great but not essential
Psychology is taught at KS4 and KS5
Psychology is part of the Science faculty
Supportive team and a strong leader
Department with a collaborative approach to planning, delivery and assessment
This is a full-time position including liasing with the SLT, managing a small team, planning and marking
Interviewing ASAP

THE RIGHT HEAD OF PSYCHOLOGY WILL BE:
Hold a degree and PGCE in Psychology
Confident with teaching Alevel
· Proven ability to raise attainment
Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box

· THE SUCCESSFUL HEAD OF PSYCHOLOGY WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Experience teaching Psychology up to Alevel
· Ability to raise attainment
UK classroom teaching experience
Eligibility to work in the UK
Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service

THE RIGHT Head of Psychology WILL BE:
· Hold a BSc and PGCE in Psychology
· Confident with teaching Psychology
· Creative, patient, and willing to think outside of the box
