Head of Sales - Drinks Industry

The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading the sales team, implementing sales strategies, and driving growth for the brand. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the Scottish drinks industry.

This is a significant organisation within the drinks industry, based in Edinburgh. Significant investment has been made to production capacity and this is a new role within the business to spearhead growth.

Description

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans, particularly within the on-trade channel, to achieve company goals
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team
• Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
• Forecast sales, revenue and budgeting in line with company objectives
• Collaborate with marketing to identify and reach out to potential clients
• Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics
• Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
• Report on sales results to senior management regularly

Profile

A successful 'Head of Sales' should have:

• Proven experience in a Head of Department role or Senior Management (with P+L Responsibility) within the drinks industry.
• A strong on-trade network
• Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a sales team
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills
