The Head of Sales will be responsible for leading the sales team, implementing sales strategies, and driving growth for the brand. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the Scottish drinks industry.
Client Details
This is a significant organisation within the drinks industry, based in Edinburgh. Significant investment has been made to production capacity and this is a new role within the business to spearhead growth.
Description
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, particularly within the on-trade channel, to achieve company goals
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Forecast sales, revenue and budgeting in line with company objectives
- Collaborate with marketing to identify and reach out to potential clients
- Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
- Report on sales results to senior management regularly
Profile
A successful 'Head of Sales' should have:
- Proven experience in a Head of Department role or Senior Management (with P+L Responsibility) within the drinks industry.
- A strong on-trade network
- Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a sales team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills
