Head of Sales
We are seeking a Head of Sales to join a leading energy consultancy who specialise in Energy procurement and green energy solutions. As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for managing and developing both direct and offshore sales teams, as well as Third Party Intermediaries (TPI). This role will play a critical part in driving revenue growth, expanding their market presence and ensuring that the sales teams are motivated and target driven. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy procurement, an in-depth understanding of pricing and margins, and a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams in a senior role. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, grow and manage sales teams, including direct, offshore, and TPI, to exceed targets
- Manage full responsibility for annual sales
- Foster a collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Implement sales strategies aligned with company goals to drive high performance.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow market share in SME and mid-market B2B sectors.
- Drive revenue growth through energy procurement and green energy solutions.
- Maintain and develop business relationships to optimise sales efficiency.
- Oversee sales forecasting and reporting to track progress and guide decisions.
- Mentor and develop sales managers and teams for success.
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent to meet business objectives.
- Promote a positive team culture that supports professional growth and excellence.
- Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Oversee the creation of energy solutions tailored to SME and mid-market customers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to execute customer solutions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to maintain competitiveness.
- Identify new business opportunities and innovative solutions to support growth strategy.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Over 5 years in senior sales leadership, ideally in energy consultancy, procurement, or green energy.
- 2+ years in the energy industry with expertise in pricing, margins, and procurement.
- Proven success in leading multiple sales channels to achieve revenue growth and exceed targets.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset, translating market insights into plans.
- Experienced in sales forecasting and reporting, with accurate trend prediction and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Target-driven, ambitious, and motivational leader.
- Strong planning and organisational skills to manage high workloads and balance priorities.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs
