Job Title: Head of Sustainability

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week

Pay: £30.16 per hour

Location: Salford Royal Hospital - with some travel to other sites.

About the Trust

The Northern Care Alliance is an NHS Foundation Trust (NCA FT) created by bringing together two NHS Trusts, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The NCA FT was formally established on 1 October 2021. The NCA has been working together as a group since 2016.

What you'll be responsible for:

· Lead, develop and implement the Trust's approach to environmental sustainability, and provide senior professional management of the Trusts full range of environmental services including energy and water management, waste management, carbon reduction, sustainable and active travel including car parking, environmental legal compliance, sustainable design and construction, environmental management systems, communications, and staff engagement.

· Proactively embed environmental sustainability and efficiency across the organisation and engage key stakeholders including PFI partners to deliver the Trust's vision to become a leading NHS Trust for environmental sustainability

You'll have the following skills/experience:

· Qualified to degree level in a relevant field and ideally have CEny, IEMA or CIWM member status.

· Experience of being in a Sustainability role.

· NHS experience would also be ideal but not essential.
