Health and Safety Advisor required for a well-established manufacturer based in the East Midlands. Working full-time, Monday to Friday, this position offers a salary range between £37,000 - £40,000 plus a range of excellent employee benefits including 25 days holiday, an enhanced company pension scheme, life assurance, well-being programme and a discretionary end-of-year bonus.

Reporting to the key stakeholders, the role offers responsibility and variety and is further supported by a team of UK-wide Health and Safety Advisors, needing you to work collaboratively across the UK-wide business. With the added support of a local H&S apprentice, you are tasked with managing, coaching, and developing, consistently working towards delivering the best and safest working practices within a manufacturing capacity.

We seek an experienced candidate who can demonstrate at least 3 years of previous employment expertise in Health and Safety, ideally from a manufacturing/production environment. Your experience will include dealing with Near-Miss/Hazard reporting and responsible for conducting site H&S inspections across facilities, equipment, and office settings.

You will be responsible for ensuring that a robust and effective H&S management system remains in place, constantly looking at ways for further development and improvement. Attending H&S meetings with staff across the wider business plus the H&S induction programme for all new starters, including the delivery of ongoing H&S Legislation and Regulations.

Ideally educated to a higher level, either college or university, we are looking for a NEBOSH qualification or similar, evidence of previous H&S employment experience plus advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word).
