Here at Stonewater, we are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to provide a pro-active, reliable and effective Health & Safety service that meets business needs.

The role

Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional with the drive and ambition to create safe environments?

A great opportunity awaits you at Stonewater, where you will be given the chance to take on an established role as a Health and Safety Advisor working within the Building Safety & Compliance directorate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assurance monitoring, conducting investigations and inspections; providing advice, guidance that ensures our Health and Safety culture and its risk management systems support a safe environment for all and ISO 45001 management systems.

Working as part of the H&S team, you will advise and support the business to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues is at the forefront of everything we do. No two days will be the same for the successful candidate and key duties include:

-Providing competent health and safety advice across a range of services.

-Performing audits, inspections, and investigations.

-Maintaining Health and Safety records.

-Delivering health and safety training.

-DSE compliance assurance.

-COSHH compliance assurance.

-Preparing and presenting reports to Managers and Team Leaders.

-Liaising with colleagues, staff representatives and external bodies.

-Projects and initiatives as required.

The person

It’s a challenging role and well-suited to a dynamic, adaptable, lateral thinker that can work on their own initiative and manage their time effectively. In this role, you will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving skills and provide competent advice.

You will have experience in maintaining health and safety systems, providing competent advice within the sector, as well as holding the minimum of a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent. Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
