Main Responsibilities -
- Oversee the online health and safety training program for all employees, regularly updating the Training Needs Analysis and recommending additional training as needed
- Report major health and safety issues or instances of non-compliance to the Director of Estates
- Conduct thorough investigations into serious accidents, incidents, or near-misses
- Maintain current first aid certification and collaborate with the Nurse to keep the First Aider list updated
- Ensure all incidents and accidents are logged in the Evolve system and report to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as required by the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013
Requirements -
- Possess at least a Level 3 Health and Safety qualification, like the NEBOSH General Certificate, with a readiness to pursue higher-level qualifications, such as the NEBOSH Diploma, within a specified timeframe
- Demonstrate strong communication, writing, and organizational skills, capable of producing detailed reports, policies, and procedures
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the education sector or a similarly complex and fast-paced environment
- Have a thorough understanding of applicable Health and Safety legislation
