Health & Social Care Lecturer
  • Salary: £27,425 - £40,369
  • Location: Cambridge
  • Job Type: Part/Full Time, Permanent

An esteemed college in Cambridge is seeking a Health & Social Care Lecturer who is passionate about the subject and can inspire learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, as well as carrying out course lead and tutorial duties.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures in Health and Social Care to a diverse group of learners.
  • Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet the curriculum requirements and the needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, support and record student progress.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students through a structured tutorial system.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a range of educational programmes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and college-wide initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry practices and educational methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A recognised Teaching Qualification.
  • Relevant Health and Social Care/Health Science qualification at a minimum of Level 3.
  • Maths and English at a minimum of Level 2.
  • Recent and relevant industrial experience.
  • Previous experience in teaching/lecturing in a Further Education (FE) environment.
  • An Assessor’s award is desirable but not essential.
