Health & Safety Manager

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Manufacturer in their search for a Health & Safety Manager in their workshop based in Leeds. 

For the successful Health & Safety Manager our client is offering:

• Salary between £50,000 - £55,000 p/annum 
• Hours of Work Monday to Thursday 08:15 - 17:00 / Friday 08:15am to 12:45pm
• Permanent

The role – Health & Safety Manager :

• Manage, maintain and improve the Company integrated Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management System to ISO9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001 externally audited standards
• Carry out regular checks of policies and procedures and that they are being properly implemented
• Conduct HSE internal surveys, investigations and audits
• Management of Tool Box talks in conjunction with line Managers
• Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
• Implementation of new or existing HSE related legislation and identify any training requirements
• Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
• Investigate accidents/incidents
• Produce management reports
• Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases

What our client is looking for in a Health & Safety Manager :

• Previous experience working as a health and safety manager - ESSENTIAL
• NEBOSH / IOSH Qualified - ESSENTIAL
• RIDDOR & COSHH Process Management Knowledge 
• BSI Audit compliance knowledge and practice - ESSENTIAL
• ISO9001, ISO4001 - Internal Audit Knowledge
