Our client, a leading global organization in Knowsley is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their dynamic team. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across the company, in compliance with ISO9001 standards and with a keen awareness of environmental impact. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting a safe working environment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards and other relevant legislation.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Organize and deliver health and safety training sessions for employees.
  • Investigate and report on all incidents, accidents, and near-misses.

Person Specification:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety Officer role, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ISO9001 standards and environmental impact awareness.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
