We are looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to work within an assessment unit for patients with Dementia, based in Barrow-in-Furness. The unit provides assessment and treatment for people suffering from dementia when they are unable to remain in their own environment, delivering an individual care and treatment plan in a safe supported environment.

This role is fully flexible allowing you to work around any commitments, promoting a healthy work life balance.

SHIFTS: Available Monday to Sunday

SHIFT PATTERNS: Earlies: 0730-1500 Lates: 1230-2030 Long Days: 0730-2030 Nights: 2000-0800

SPECIALISMS: Older Adults - assessment for organic illnesses, such as Dementia.


The Role:

  • Assisting patients with daily activities such as personal care.
  • Assisting qualified nursing staff where necessary.
  • Making patients feel comfortable and calm.


The Person

  • 12 months minimum experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a residential or inpatient setting.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
