We now have vacancies for Class 1 Truck Drivers to join our friendly Network team based at Tilbury preferably for an immediate start. The depot operates as a Pallet Network Depot, completing collections and deliveries.
Role Responsibilities
• Making deliveries and collections
• Multi drop up to 10 drops, with two runs.
• Making sure loads are safe and secured.
• Thorough vehicle checking before each journey.
• Using a telephone app for receiving, updating and completing jobs
• Represents the face of the Company
Person Requirements
• Class 1 licence is mandatory (C)
• Valid CPC and digital tacho card essential
• One year’s Class 2 driving experience required, preferably within the Pallet Networks
• Less than 6 points on licence preferred
• Excellent driving skills and road safety knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job eg loading/unloading, coupling/uncoupling, operating curtain-siders etc
• Confident user of a smart phone
• Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business
• Safety conscious ensuring that personal, vehicle and load safety, and that of others, is a key priority.
• Polite and customer focused
• Pass internal driver assessment if one is required
Working Monday to Friday 7.30am starts 10-hour days.
Paying £190 - £200 day rate.
