HGV Class 2 Road Sweeper Driver

We are currently recruiting road sweeper drivers for our client based in Bolton area. The role will include to carry out the scheduled road sweeping round including driving an HGV road sweeper, carrying out daily maintenance checks and being the responsible person for the vehicle, resolving issues and problems to ensure service delivery on the round and reporting relevant issues to the Street Cleansing Team Leaders.

Due to the nature of work we have availability for day, night, and weekend drivers.

Working Hours & Salary

Working any days out of 7 as our client operates 24/7

Start time: days between 5am - 7am, nights 5pm - 7pm

Pay rate on days: From £14.00 per hour (Mon - Friday), £15.00 Per hour (Saturdays), £16.00 per hour (Sunday) & £20 per hour (Bank Holiday)

Pay rate on nights: From £15.00 per hour (Mon - Friday), £16.00 Per hour (Saturdays), £17.00 per hour (Sunday) & £20 per hour (Bank Holiday)

Umbrella rates available on request.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have HGV Class 2 licence (preferred 2+ years), CPC Card & TACHO card.
  • A previous history of working in a manual job, due to the nature of the job.
  • A positive attitude towards dealing with clients.
  • CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
  • MPQC qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Must be able to communicate and take instructions from customers and complete daily job sheets correctly.

Safety shoes, gloves, and long sleeve hi viz is required.
