Job Title: HGV Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Driver (Class 1) / Warehouse Operative for a local manufacturer in Stowmarket, Suffolk. This is a great opportunity to work in a varied and rewarding role, with driving duties making up approximately 50% of the job, and warehouse duties taking up the other 50%.
We are offering an excellent salary with an overnight allowance on top of your pay! Overtime is paid at increased rates & the company offers further benefits such as
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving: Operate HGV vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to customer locations, ensuring compliance with all road and safety regulations.
- Warehouse: Assist with the loading and unloading of stock, stock rotation, picking, packing etc
- Forklift Operation: (If qualified) Assist with forklift duties for loading and unloading heavy items and materials.
- Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control.
- General support: Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy, safe, and organised
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 driving license with a valid qualification
- Digital Tachograph Card
- CPC Driving card
- Ability to work well in a fast moving environment.
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential) - Counterbalance & reach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physically fit, with the ability to lift and carry items.
- A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
