My client , an automotive company based in the Droitwich area of Worcestershire is looking to recruit a HGV Mechanic on a Permanent basis

You will be required to undertake all aspects of mechanical vehicle maintenance ranging from running defects, full servicing, vehicle overhauls, MOT preparation and presentation

The main responsibilities for the role include

- Carry out service, repair, maintenance and inspections on a range of state of the art coaches and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnosing faults.
- Carrying out warranty repairs.
- Visual inspections, adjustment operations and testing. Stripping fitting and replacing components on vehicles.
- Fully conversant with vehicle hydraulics, pneumatics & electrics.
- Responsible for the fitting of mechanical/ hydraulic components on new and used recovery vehicles.
- Maintain inventory records and Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Completion of Company and legislative paperwork and keep up to date records of the maintenance programs.
- Organisation and care of garage work area, including securing of the area after work hours.
- Care, storage, and inventory of tools, materials, equipment, and facilities

As a suitable candidate you will offer the following

- NVQ level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance and repair or similar would be preferred
- Ideally have experience of working with vehicles to DVSA standard
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent Problem Solver
- Full Clean Driving License

The pay-rate on offer is up to £20 an hour and the core working hours are Mon-Fri 0830-1700 with overtime available
