The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for working as part of a team to repair and maintain the company's fleet of HGV and LGVs. You will become an integral part of the team as these vehicles are the heartbeat of the business.

The role will involve:

  • Using your knowledge and understanding to perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshot mechanical issues
  • Conduct inspections, identify potential problems, resolve problems
  • Repair or replace faulty components and parts
  • Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

To be successful in this role of HGV Technician we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

  • City & Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • The necessary skills to efficiently plan maintenance and inspections
  • MOT preparation experience
  • Modern mechanical and electrical diagnostics and fault-finding
  • Accurate and timely defect reporting
