HGV Tramper Driver

VNA Recruitment are currently recruiting for HGV C+E Tramper Drivers for our client based in Beccles, Suffolk. This is a temporary position that could go permanent for the right person.

Duties include:

• Distribute palletised freight throughout the United Kingdom using primarily Mercedes Actros vehicles equipped with sleeping quarters, fridge, and microwave
• Dropping and swapping trailers
• Operating curtains
• Securing loads using ratchet straps

The successful candidate must have a friendly and approachable manner as you will be the face of the company and will be meeting clientele on a daily basis.

Experience:

• commercial driving: at least 1 year
• holding a C+E licence: at least 1 year

Licence/Certification:

• Digital Tachograph Card
• Driver CPC

Weekends are paid at £18 per hour, nights out are £26.20 per night. You may also be eligible for a driving efficiency bonus which ranges from £37.50 to £52.50 per week.

Please note that an assessment and induction will be required, and shadow training will be arranged.
