HGV2 Driver

We are looking for an HGV2 Driver to join a small welcoming, professional, and friendly company. Our client is located close to Banbury (10 miles) with an excellent reputation for service and quality. You will be responsible for driving an HGV vehicle (tipper) and will ideally also have an MPQC card (this is desirable, not essential). This is a full time, permanent position based on 40 hours per week - working hours may vary depending on workload, overtime will be available.

Key responsibilities of the HGV 2 Driver include:

• Operating a 32 tonne tipper lorry
• Supervising the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage
• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the driving cab
• Ensuring accidents are kept to a minimum
• Working carefully and promptly to ensure the deliveries are prompt and delivered safely
• Writing delivery tickets and maintaining paperwork

The HGV 2 Driver must be/have:

• Reliable and trustworthy
• Personable and professional approach
• Able to build rapport with customers
• Prompt - an excellent time keeper!
• Appropriate licenses
• MPQC card (desirable)
• Safe Urban Driving certificate (desirable)
• CPC Qualification (desirable)
• Organised and efficient with paperwork
• Able to commute to the Banbury area
• Comfortable with early starts
• Responsible to keep the lorry clean and tidy
• A clean driving licence (preferred) / less than six penalty points (considered)

Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• 5 hours of guaranteed overtime at time and a half

Salary:

• Up to £18ph (inc. overtime)
• Six-month probation
• 21 days holiday
• Company statutory pension scheme

Location:

• Banbury (village location - Oxon / Warks border) with travelling distance of up to 100 miles
