High Net Worth Underwriter

We are currently recruiting for a High Net Worth Underwriter on behalf of our client, one of the leading brands in the UK insurance market.

The role will focus on underwriting Art and Private Client products, working across both direct and broker distribution channels, and Household, Motor and Travel insurance policies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful and growing insurer, with a wide range of development opportunities on offer, and the chance to work with a brand new, state of the art underwriting platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working towards set targets each month, including profitability, GWP, conversion and retention, amongst others.
  • Developing sales skills and appreciation of sales and underwriting strategy, in collaboration with wider teams and regions.
  • Effectively negotiating with both internal and external parties, and identifying points of contact within brokers.
  • Challenging non-standard underwriting decisions, leveraging the expertise of Product Specialists and Underwriting Managers.
  • Helping to spot opportunities for process improvements and drive profitable growth.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience within Personal Lines Underwriting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ideally Dip CII qualified.
