We are working with Oldham Council to find a Minute-Taking Administrator on a temporary basis.

Job Type: Contract, Full time, Initial 3 months
Location: Oldham. Hybrid. 3 days a week
Salary: £12 per hour

We are looking for a Business Support Officer with minute-taking experience, customer service skills, and IT proficiency. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent time management skills. This role is initially a 3-month contract with the potential for extension.

Day to Day of the role:

-          Type and produce presentations using computerised packages and format existing presentations.

-          Assist with diary management for senior managers in designated service areas.

-          Undertake progress chasing and prepare minutes and agendas for meetings.

-          Develop knowledge to respond to complex queries and formulate routine responses to correspondence.

-          Support the coordination of large events and meetings, including taking minutes and chasing follow-up actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

-          Sufficient literacy and numeracy to undertake the tasks and duties of the role.

-          Experience using computer packages for word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

-          Experience in administration/clerical tasks and following financial procedures.

-          NVQ 2 in Business Administration or equivalent (Desirable).
